Holiday Closures 2022

The City of Twin Falls observes the following days as legal holidays and city offices are closed:

Friday, December 31, 2022 – New Year’s Day

Monday, January 17, 2022 – Martin Luther King Day

Monday, February 21, 2022 – Presidents Day

Monday, May 30, 2022 – Memorial Day

Monday, June 20, 2022 – Juneteenth

Monday, July 4, 2022 – Independence Day

Monday, September 5, 2022 – Labor Day

Friday, November 11, 2022 – Veteran’s Day

Thursday, November 24 - 25, 2022 – Thanksgiving Day

Saturday and Sunday, December 24 – 25, 2022 – Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Monday, January 2, 2023 — New Year’s Day

Additional Holidays

In addition, the Friday after Thanksgiving is recognized as a holiday, and as a result city offices are closed. If Christmas (December 25) falls on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday; Christmas Eve (December 24) shall be observed as a holiday and city offices shall be closed.

If a holiday falls on a Saturday, the City of Twin Falls shall observe the holiday the preceding Friday. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the city shall observe the holiday on the following Monday.

Garbage Collection

When one of the following holidays falls on Monday through Friday, garbage collection will be one day behind:

  • Christmas Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Memorial Day
  • New Year’s Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
