Contractors with the City of Twin Falls will do major sewer line rehabilitation on the aging sewer collection lines in Downtown Twin Falls. There will be intermittent closures of the downtown alleyways so the contractor can access the sewer lines.
Beginning Thursday, Jan. 22 thru March, Vortex Services will prepare the sewer main for CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) lining, a trench-less rehabilitation method that involves lining the sewer line with a polymer to extend the life of the pipe.
To ensure the safety of drivers and work crews, traffic controls in the alley ways will be in place until the project is completed in late-March. Affected residents and businesses will be notified via door flyers prior to work.
We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation while we work to maintain public infrastructure. For more information about this project, please contact the City of Twin Falls Engineering Department at 208-735-7248.
