On January 1, 2026, the City of Twin Falls adopted a new zoning code (title 10). The main goals of the new zoning code are:
Update the current definitions so that they reflect our present needs
Make the code navigation process more user friendly
Streamline the development approval process
Make it so the code reflects and administers to the goals, language, and strategies of the newly adopted comprehensive plan, Twin Falls: Grow With Us 2016.
The entire Title 10 rewrite can be accessed below. If you have any questions, please reach out to tfplanning@tfid.org.
The Planning and Zoning Department's responsibility is to help plan growth within the community and the city's area of impact and to administer the Comprehensive Plan and Title 10 of Twin Falls City Code.
The implementation of these include advising the City Manager, the City Council, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the public regarding the issues relating to land use and planning and zoning regulations of the city. The department reviews building permit requests, holds public hearings, and investigates and seeks resolution of zoning complaints.
