Citizens Police Academy

Curious what it takes to be a police officer? The Twin Falls Police Department will answer that question and many others when you attend the Citizen's Police Academy (CPA).

The goal of the program is not to train citizens to be police officers, but to increase the understanding between our community and their police department. Participants gain an understanding of how the department accomplishes its mission on a daily basis.

The program is open to participants ages 18 and up and is designed to promote and enhance citizen understanding and awareness of the role of the Twin Falls Police Department within our community. The classes are limited to 20 people and an investigation of an applicant’s criminal history will be conducted prior to acceptance in the CPA.

Applications for the 2025 Citizens Academy are now closed. Please keep an eye on our social media for future Academy sessions in 2026.
