November 7, 2023 – City Council Election

Early voting begins two to three weeks before any election. The last day for early voting is always the Friday before the election. The early voting center is located at Twin Falls County West, 630 Addison Ave. W, on the first floor. The early voting office is only open during early voting. If you need assistance any other time, please come to the Recorder’s office on the 2nd floor.

Absentee Ballots may be requested by mail, fax (208-736-4182) or e-mail (elections@tfco.org) The last day for an application for a mail-in absentee ballot to be received by the County Clerk is 11 days before any election at 5 p.m. Requests can be returned to the Recorder’s office by mail (TFC Elections, PO Box 126, Twin Falls, ID 83303), fax (208-736-4182) or email (elections@tfco.org). The deadline to return mail ballots to the Clerk’s office is 8 p.m. on election night.

Election Day polls are open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Twin Falls City Council consists of seven seats that are open to all city residents on a rotational basis. Council Candidate Requirements

Candidates for mayor and council may put their names on the ballot by filing a Declaration of Candidacy indicating the office for which they are running, the term of the office, and confirming that they are qualified to hold the office, meaning they are:

  • At least 18 years of age,
  • A U.S. citizen,
  • The candidate’s primary residence must be within the City of Twin Falls,
  • The candidate’s voter registration must match the residents address provided on the candidate’s declaration, and the candidate must have resided in the City of Twin Falls for at least 30 days prior to submitting their declaration.
