Due to an Idaho Transportation Department road construction project, Airport Road -- which is also U.S. Highway 74 and Washington Street South -- will be closed for a two-mile stretch from 3600 N to 3400 N from Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 until July 1, 2010.

Commuters and air travelers are advised to add at least an  extra five minutes to their driving time until the project is completed. A detour is arranged at 3600 North to direct motorists to Magic Valley Regional Airport.

“It is always an inconvenience when a road is closed,” said Airport Manager Bill Carberry.”But allowing for a few extra minutes in driving time should make this very manageable.”
