Twin Falls, which is part of the Magic Valley in south-central Idaho, has an agricultural economy that is diversified to also include food processing and research and development, RV manufacturing, metal fabrication, computer support, and much more. Twin Falls is the hub for a 250,000-population trade area consisting of eight counties and northern Nevada. Twin Falls supports 2 million+ square feet of retail, most of Magic Valley's professional service providers, a community college, and St. Luke's Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. During the day, it is estimated that the influx of workers into the city nearly doubles the population.

Located on I-84, two hours away from Boise (west), four hours from Salt Lake City (south), eight hours to Portland (west), and twelve hours to San Francisco (southwest), Twin Falls is centrally located to supply West Coast and Intermountain West markets.

A skilled, affordable workforce is essential for business success, and Magic Valley has that. The community college, College of Southern Idaho (CSI), is a highly effective partner in job creation efforts. Numerous businesses and students have benefited from the education and training CSI provides. Many of Twin Falls' newer businesses (Dell Computer, Seastrom Manufacturing, Jayco RV) wouldn't be here if not for the training courses developed and provided by CSI staff and faculty.

In addition to being located near a major interstate trucking route, Twin Falls is also served by Eastern Idaho Railroad, which connects to the Union Pacific line. Twin Falls also benefits from the  Magic Valley Regional Airport -- only two miles from the city limits --  that has four daily flights to Salt Lake City through Delta/Sky West.

Idaho Power Company and Intermountain Gas service Twin Falls' power and gas needs for industrial, commercial and residential customers. Their low rates help keep business costs extremely competitive.
